18 days into 2008

As I've said in my new year entry, I don't have any new year resolution for 2008. But lately, I can feel a few positive things happening in a natural manner ;)

1- I dont have any mood to go shoping!
Great! This is really great! I've been practising not to be a shopaholic for a long time previously... but the more I tried, the more I bought! But so far in the first 18 days of this new year, I haven't got the mood to shop... In fact, there are still a lot things which I bought last year but still in their paper bags... So, I'm quite happy with this new feeling!

2- Back to the gym!
It is like a sudden, amazing energy or adraneline gush had just attacked me!Everyday, I can't wait to hit the gym at night. So far, I have been going to the gym gym 5 times a week! And I feel so energetic even without taking any overdose of supplements!

But one negative thing has happened, though:

I got bored with living in Malaysia *petirrr!!! I'm proud of being a Malaysian but, it's getting worse... Every weekend, I don't know where else to go to spend quality time outdoors... Hmmm... and tomorrow is a weekend... Where should I go? Any ideas?

Today is the first day I wear a baju melayu to work (at this new job). I thought, why not, since most of the male muslim staff do that on every Friday... Happy Friday to all!
*tak semestinya pakai baju melayu kena pose2 di car park Alamanda kan? petir lagi!!

Shopping? boring! Art gallery? zzz.... Lepak at SBUX? once in a while okay, but not everyday!

Try something different for a change. Try something exciting, memorable but safe. Try caving in the Dark Caves of Batu Caves.

I went on an 1.5 hours Dark Caves tour with a group of friends many years back, but I still treasure the wonderful memories of exploring the cave (with a guide of course), seeing bats and numerous types of insects, and gasping on seeing the beautiful stalactites and stalagmites formation.
Check out http://www.wildasia.net/main.cfm?page=article&articleID=4&id=2 for the someone's story of the caves. The 4 hours adventure tour is more challenging (and dirty) but the 1.5 hours trip is easy, not tiring and less messy.
The very affordable 1.5 hours trip runs twice daily. Check out http://www.mns.org.my/artabout.php?aid=29 for contact details and to confirm your bookings. Bring your brother along.
Hope that helps, Wahdi.

Hi Chen,

Thanks for the (informative) suggestion! I have been to that place before dude, but that was a long time ago... But silly me was so scared of being surrounded by bats and insects! LOL.

But I personally prefer Gua Tempurung in Gopeng, Perak... It was so amazing! Have you been there?

Anyway, thanks once again!

Hey wahdi, thanks for dropping by to my blog :) I feel the same way about no. 1 and I'm happy about it too :)

There's a lot of places you can go in Malaysia la.. even if you move to another country but stuck in the same place - you'll still feel the same way :) Come over for outdoor activities in East Malaysia if you're bored with the West hehe ...

hikss posing di alamanda with baju melayu

ngeeee mcm tau jer siapa ituew :p..

dah boring??? hurm.. try the original fish spa kat our local air terjun. i went to sg chongkak yesterday, and found that we have our own natural and relatively free fish spa (RM 1 for enterance, RM 2 for parking). I did not think about it until my friend said they saw some fishes swimming around the exposed treet routes underwater. I tried dipping my feet and staying still, and soon enough I got bapak ikan (the fish, not the human :D) eating of my calluses.. WAh shiok man, the fishes were big. and they did the job a lot faster.

Try la, if that is bored maybe you should visit or revisit FRIM for a jungle hike.

tak pong.... visit all the sunday market in selangor, who knows what you can find or buy there..
